Well, I think it’s time again to go back to the basics. Once in a while I like to feature art in its original form. By basics, I mean art created from a pencil or brush and photography straight out of the camera, and least we never forget a little well written verse.  You know we’re all very different in many different ways. I’ve always been a kind of old fashioned guy. Although I carefully try to reveal my colors as time goes by, I refuse to date myself with trendy costumes from my past. I love to keep up with new technology. Even though I was a Network Engineer and a Digital Imaging Specialist in Radiology, I rode a mountain bike to work in all weather for close to 20 years. I wear my baseball cap with the brim in front. (Isn’t it supposed to keep the sun from one’s eyes?) I hate texting. Why would anyone want to spend 10 minutes on a miniature keyboard when the same task can be accomplished over the phone in 60 seconds? I don’t use the word “like” in every sentence that comes out of my mouth and if one more person gives me a cow from Farmville, I’m going to destroy their crops and burn down their barn! It might even make me want to shoot their deer with something other than my camera!
So with that said, I’d like to focus on some traditional art and feature some wonderful paintings with a brush instead of the computer, lifelike clay sculptures, drawings with pencil and some well written verse . . . and I think I'll begin with a verse of my own . . .

Our sense of touch is a very delicate thing.
We use our hands to touch, to feel and to embrace.
Touching a person can enlighten emotions well beyond
what a smile or the glance of an eye could possibly bring.
With a gentle touch we can bring a presence to a loved
one making them forget the existence to a troubled past.
Wiping away a tear from a loved one’s eye,
while running a gentle hand through their hair,
along with a warm embrace, will quite often make that
tear not know where it even came from.
A gentle touch can remove even the sharpest pain of
fear or grief with a powerful healing force.

To sleep on a cloud
Amidst the gathering of a storm
Or to lie on the ocean bed
   Watching a rainbow form

We all look for that special moment but the touch from
a loved one makes that moment real!
With our hands we reach out and touch the world but
with these same hands we touch each others souls, bringing
all of our emotions back home, closer to the world of each
other. It makes one realize that a simple thing as just a hug,
is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

With my imagination I come up with an intelligent portrait of what I see in my mind, so, I draw it. . . .  If you like it you like it, if you don’t you don’t but you know what? It’s mine, it’s original and it’s art . . . and that’s what it’s all about!
